Introduction
Element: Arcane
Location: Within one of the natural crystal pillars partially grounded, partially floating into, the border of the Focal Point and the Observatory. Two tiny outposts in the Starwood and The Crystalspine Reaches.
Subfactions: The lair is split up between each elemental flight (Arcane, Light, Ice, Shadow, etc); each of these has small departments within them (for example, the Arcane department houses the Starcharters, The Starwood Scholars, Arcane Shard Harvesters, etc).
Above the main Pillar; on floating crystal islands and on the roof of the pillar itself; is where the Arcane population resides. This also includes the flight representative meeting hall, nesting grounds, guest housing, main hall, and various arcane studies and personal rooms.
Inside the main Pillar (from top floor to bottom):
Crystalspine Reaches Outpost (carved out crystal cave): Arcane Shard Harvesters living quarters, arcane shard storage, arcane shard test lab
Starwood Strand Outpost (magically altered trees that are twisted to form a medium-sized building. It’s covered in magical sap fae homes.): Starwood Scholars, living quarters, samples storage, research lab
History: A small, close-knit isolationist family that expanded into a massive research facility with two outposts in the Crystalspine Reaches, and the Starwood Strand. They’re an eclectic gathering of curious dragons of every flight and breed that crave knowledge for varying reasons - some to satiate their own curiosity, some for the benefit of others, while others its more for the benefit of themselves. A big clan that is divided into smaller groups, all under the collective leadership/employment/tutelage (depending on who you ask) of the matriarch/head scholar Riandria.
